Flexible wall washer lights are linear LED wall washer lights made of flexible, bendable substrates. They can produce a "wall-washing" light effect similar to traditional linear wall washer lights, but the light body itself can be freely bent or conform to curved surfaces. They are mainly used for architectural outlines and decorative lighting, and are very suitable for curved building facades, irregular decorative shapes, and other scenarios.
Flexible wall washer lights are generally manufactured through nine steps: 1.) Flexible silicone extrusion shell (bendable, UV resistant), built-in aluminum substrate or flexible FPC (enhanced heat dissipation), external mounting slots or aluminum profile accessories. Engineers determine the bending radius, optical opening (side-emitting/surface-emitting), light angle, and other structural designs based on the application scenario (outdoor building, indoor atmosphere, shopping mall light strip groove). → 2.) Select LEDs (high power 3030/3535/2835, etc.), design luminous efficacy, color temperature, CRI, design secondary optical lenses/silicone diffuser, control beam angle, and other LED optical designs. → 3.) Constant voltage drive (12V/24V), DMX/SPI control (RGB/RGBW dynamic effects), FPC wiring, copper thickness and heat dissipation capacity, power, and other circuit design. → 4.) FPC or aluminum PCB (for LEDs), LED chips, resistors, capacitors, ICs (for RGB/DMX), flexible silicone shell, wires, etc. Preparation of raw materials such as waterproof connectors (IP65) → 5.) Automated SMT: Apply solder paste to the PCB, mount LEDs, ICs, resistors, and capacitors, reflow soldering, inspect solder joints, perform LED lighting tests, etc. → 6.) Place the mounted PCB/FPC into a flexible silicone shell, lay cables/fix the lamp body, insert aluminum strips or reinforcements (to enhance heat dissipation and structure), connect wires and waterproof connectors, and encapsulate with potting compound → 7.) Inject silicone/PU raw glue, vibrate to remove air bubbles, cure (room temperature curing or baking curing), visual inspection (no bubbles, no glue leakage), and perform waterproofing treatment. 8.) Aging tests: including
● Electrical tests: voltage, current, power, PF value, EMI test
● Optical tests: luminous flux, luminous efficacy lm/W, color temperature drift, brightness uniformity
● Aging tests: continuous lighting for 8–24 hours, high temperature test at 60°C, low temperature test at -20°C

What is 3D Flexible Wall Washer ?
3D flexible wall washer light is a new type of wall washer light that utilizes a flexible, bendable light body and a side- or multi-angle light emission design.
Traditional or flexible wall washer lights are straight strips and can only be installed linearly. 3D flexible wall washer lights, however, can be bent or twisted in multiple dimensions (such as S-shape, U-shape, circle, and wave shape), while also projecting light to the side, achieving a three-dimensional wall washer effect.

How to Choose LED Flexible Wall Washer Lights:
1. Optical and Visual Parameters
1.1) Beam Angle: Determines the angle at which the light spreads. A large beam angle (e.g., 45° or higher) is suitable for brightening low walls at close range; a small beam angle (e.g., 15°-30°) is suitable for long-distance projection, resulting in more concentrated light. Choose the appropriate beam angle based on wall height, installation distance, and wall width to avoid uneven light spots or insufficient brightness.
1.2) Color Temperature and Color: Choose according to the desired atmosphere. 2700K-3000K warm light is cozy, 4000K-5000K neutral light is refreshing, and 6000K and above cool light has a strong modern feel. For dynamic effects, choose a model that supports RGB or RGBW full-color changes. Interior furnishings and residential spaces may prefer warm white; commercial and building exteriors may prefer neutral/cool white or be customized according to design requirements.
1.3) Color Rendering Index (Ra/CRI): CRI ≥ 90 ensures natural and realistic colors on walls and decorations. The colors of the building facade are more realistic.
1.4) Brightness: Brightness determines how far the wall can be illuminated and whether the effect is uniform. For small spaces and decorative wall washing (corridors, background walls, shop interiors, etc.): low-power/medium-power lights can be selected; for large-area wall washing such as building facades, large walls, and exterior walls, it is recommended to choose higher-power/high-lumen output models. At the same time, pay attention to the quality and efficiency of the light source (LED chip). Do not buy low-quality, low-brightness lights just to save money, otherwise the effect will be poor and the lifespan short.
2. Electrical and Protection Parameters
2.1) Protection Rating (IP): Outdoor use is a basic requirement. IP65 is water-resistant and suitable for most outdoor scenarios; if the environment is more humid (such as near pools, buried underground), IP67/IP68 rating should be selected. The lamp structure (sealing, material, corrosion resistance, dustproof) and thermal management (good heat dissipation) are also important to ensure stable operation over a long period.
